Raider/Pirate | A player/nation focussed on raiding, who earns their income through raiding instead of conventional means. | That guy hitting our inactives is a raider, he doesn’t have any infra to lose. |
Wardodger | A player who tries to avoid alliance wars, for various reasons (e.g. expense or effort required) and by various means (e.g. desertion, VMing). Wardodgers are often undesirable members for an alliance to have. |

Tiering | The distribution of a group’s (e.g. an alliance’s) nation sizes, measured by city count. An alliance may have a relatively high or low overall tiering, and may be focussed more-or-less narrowly into one tier, or be spread out among all or certain tiers. | Our tiering is extremely low, we’re all a bunch of c10s. |
