Spies


Spies are espionage units used to conduct espionage operations on an enemy, they do not require any city improvement or national project to be recruited and their recruitment is not affected by the nation's population like other military units. Spies can do several things but perhaps the most important of them is their ability to gather intelligence on an enemy allowing you to see the resources in their nation.

Spies are used for espionage operations allowing you to gather intelligence, sabotage military units, assassinate enemy spies or terrorize civilians. You do not have to be at war with someone to execute an espionage operation on them.

Spies cost $50k each to recruit. You can have a maximum of 50 spies by default, this limit can be increased to 60 with the Intelligence Agency national project which also allows you to recruit 3 spies per day instead of 2 by default. Spy Satellite national project allows you to train an additional spy per day for ‌4 if you already have Intelligence Agency.

Spies cost $2.4k each in upkeep at all times, this amount is not affected by being at war like other military units.

Spies do not cost any resources to operate, however, they require some cash to operate which can vary depending on the number of spies used and the level of safety being used in operation.
