Hospitals reduce disease by 2.5% per hospital built, but with the Clinical Research Center, they reduce disease by 3.5% . Hospitals cost $100,000 and 25 aluminum to build and $1,000 per day in operating costs. You can build up to 6 hospitals per city. Each hospital adds 4 points to your pollution index.
