Fortify

Fortification is a defensive military action, the only one as of now. It takes 3 Military Action Points (MAP) to execute and has no effect on your or enemy’s resistance. While fortified your enemy will suffer 25% more casualties in their offensive attacks against you. When fortified, the effect will last until you launch an offensive attack on the enemy, after which it will require 3 more MAPs to reinstate.

While the game allows you to fortify multiple times in a row, the effect will always be the same as one fortify, and it is highly advised not to do that unless you are willingly wasting MAPs.
