Leader/2iC

The Leader of an alliance has complete control over the alliance. This ranges from maintaining relationships with other alliances to promoting government officers and much more. Some alliances also have a Second in Command (2iC) who assists the leader in their duties.

How people are appointed to these positions differs between alliances.

High Government

Every alliance has a High Government to manage the alliance. The members of the high government are the heads of their respective departments and are responsible for working with other departments and advising the leader. Some consider high government to also include the Leader and 2iC but others consider high government to be just the department heads.

How people are appointed to high government differs between alliances but people usually serve in low government first.

Low Government

Alliances have a set of officers in low government who are responsible for assisting the high government in the day-to-day duties of their departments. In some alliances, there is a similar level of Mid Government made up of slightly more senior members of government.

How people are appointed to low government differs between alliances but they are usually active and helpful members.
