Airstrikes are targeted strikes done using aircraft. An airstrike allows you to target enemy soldiers, tanks, aircraft, ships, infrastructure or money. Your aircraft will always kill some enemy aircraft regardless of what you target in your airstrike, but in a dogfight (airstrike on aircraft) the number is significantly higher. You need at least 3 aircraft to launch an airstrike, which can get you Immense Triumph against an enemy with no aircraft.

This attack type costs 4 Military Action Points(MAP) and with an Immense Triumph, reduces enemy resistance by 12, also achieving air superiority which halves the combat value of enemy tanks in all subsequent ground battles, offensive or defensive. Airstrikes do not destroy enemy improvements.

In an airstrike, a Moderate Success reduces enemy resistance by 9 and a Pyrrhic Victory reduces it by 6.
