Domestic Policy

Domestic Policy is an emphasis in a particular area by your nation. Each Domestic Policy provides a different benefit to your nation. There are 5 different options, which you can change once every 5 days. Used correctly, the bonuses each provides can be powerful tools for nation building. As you grow and change, so will your needs, so it is a good idea to reevaluate what Domestic Policy is best often.

Changing Domestic Policy


1. On the left-side of the navigation bar, click "Edit" under the Nation heading.

2. Next to "Domestic Policy" there is a drop down box. Select the policy you wish to use.

3. Scroll to the bottom and click the "Edit Nation" button to save your changes.

You can only do this once every 60 turns (5 days), so be careful.

Manifest Destiny Manifest Destiny Icon


Manifest Destiny is the pursuit of rapid expansion. This Domestic Policy reduces new city costs by 5%.

Open Markets Open Markets Icon


Open Markets is the pursuit of maximizing gains from trade. This Domestic Policy increases your gross income by 1%.

Technological Advancement Technological Advancement Icon


Technological Advancement is the pursuit of increasing scientific knowledge. This Domestic Policy decreases National Project costs by 5%.

Imperialism Imperialism Icon


Imperialism is the pursuit of growth through military dominance. This Domestic Policy decreases Military Upkeep Costs by 5%.

Urbanization Urbanization Icon


Urbanization is the pursuit of industrialization and development. This Domestic Policy decreases Infrastructure costs by 5%.
