History: | Mahashanavas, literally meaning "Land of Mahashana", was founded by 5 tribes. The Kurutivi, the largest, which had settled into the area as their homeland lost fertility, the Dushuna, which were the original inhabitants, the Furushi, which were expelled from their homes as their religious perspectives were too different, the Makshana, nomadic horsearchers, which initially wished to conquer the area but chose to join the others, and the Yrun, who were the smallest and youngest, but led unification. They combined aspects from all tribes, creating a horse-based culture centered around a central religion. Mahashanism was focused around the worship of the Goddess Mahashana. She is the Eternal Mother Goddess, who cares and protects Humanity, as it is her perfect creation. Mahashanism promotes Humanism. It believes that all Humans are beautiful, and deserving of respetc and dignity. Mahashanan soceity is against hierarchy, and treats everyone equally. In fact, the words "Male and Female" are rarely ever used outside of biology, as there is nothing assigned to a certain gender. There also is no word for hetero- homo- or any other sexuality, as people can have relationships with anyone, and you should look at the person themselves, not what they have down there. Mahashana is not a cruel deity. She wishes no harm upon Humans in any way. After death, the righteous shall pass on to Paradise, while those in sin shall be showed mercy and educated by her until they are ready to enter Paradise. Even though there is faith in Paradise, Life is still better. Mahashanans believe it is a great honor to be alive and do not wish to take it from anyone. Mahashanism believes in freedom of belief. Only when people seek out violence in name of their belief, they do wrong. Mahashanavas has a near-zero crime rate, as there simply is no reason. Want food? Take it. There is a surplus. Are you angry at someone? Talk with them, or even get someone else to mediate. Mahashanism values reason. above all, instead of dogma. After this, Mahashanavas became a hub of stability, safety and prosperity, with many joining. When a slave revolt took place in a neighboring state, the Mahashanavans saw it as their duty to help. The "Duruni", as the new people were called, were given a place to live at the North-East of the state becoming a de facto protectorate, having it's own government. With this, a national identity was also formed. The people called themselves the "Ilima", meaning "Liberators" in the language. While it remained largely the same, dialects formed, with Central Iliman being spoken mostly in the inner city, High Iliman being spoken by the more mountainous regions, and Lower Iliman being spoken by the rest, including the Duruni. If a law needs to be made, there are 5 elements of government it must pass. The first is the Public Assembly. Here, anyone, regardless of their beliefs or background, can propose a law, public debates are also held here. If it gains traction, or is considered significant enough, it is passed towards the Congress of Muljiro. There, 50 elected officials debate about the proposal, and may amend it. Then, if it passes, it is passed on to the High Speaker and their Council. They review wether or not it is in line with the religious teachings. If it is approved, it is passed on to the High Court, which reviews wether or not it is in line with the law, and if that passes it goes to the Tribal Council. All 5 tribes have 2 representatives, who discuss wether or not it falls in line with the tribes and does not discriminate anyone. |
