Founded in 1214, in a mountainous and fertile kingdom known as Valle de los Santos, the House of Iglesias reigned supreme. This noble dynasty, steeped in faith and tradition, had ruled for centuries with an iron will tempered by the virtues of their deeply Catholic beliefs. The House of Iglesias wielded their faith as both a shield and a scepter, believing their rule was divinely ordained.

The founder of the house, King Fernando I of Iglesias, was a pious man who united the scattered valleys of the land under the banner of a golden cross. He was crowned in the great cathedral of San Cristóbal, where the high archbishop placed a silvered crown upon his head, proclaiming him “Defender of the Faith and the People.” His marriage to Queen Isabel of the noble Soria family cemented the ties between faith and politics, as Isabel’s family were fierce protectors of the Church. Together, they set the foundation for a dynasty whose very identity was intertwined with Catholic values—loyalty to the Church, the sanctity of family, and the pursuit of moral governance.

The House of Iglesias ruled not through brute force alone but through a complex web of marriages and alliances, ensuring that their bloodline ran deep across neighboring kingdoms. Every marriage was a careful balance of diplomacy and religious duty. It was said that no royal wedding in Valle de los Santos was ever celebrated without a grand Mass, attended by the highest bishops and clergy from across the region. Now after his death he laid where at his final moments the new King crowned at age 16, Maximilian Iglesias.
