History: In 1250, the Mamluks seized control of the area. Nothing really significant happened in this era. It was only until 1517 when the Ottomans came crashing down the levant and into modern day Egypt and Agebeyah. Nothing also happened during this era. It was only until the Napoleonic wars when France took control of the area. This didn't stand for long since immediately after, the Ottomans took back control of Egypt. In 1882, The British saw financial interest in the newly built Suez canal and went to war with the Ottomans. The British won and took control of Egypt and Sudan. ww1 also caused panic in the region because of the Ottomans. In the aftermath of ww1, the Kingdom of Egypt was formed, in 1922. This lasted until 1952 when Gamal Abdel Nasser took control of the country,
and made it a Republic. But on the Morning of May 12, 1966, Disaster struck. Agebeyan-Berber rebels struck in the north of the country taking over the whole govenorate of Matrouh. It was not until of June in 1967 the Agebeyan Berbers won forming Agebeyah, and Amazigh. In 1992, a horrifying war erupted in the south of the country. Many rebels including Al-Qaeda, South Agebeyah, And Mazeh-Sabz (Farsi for Green Sand) erupting in the west. It took until December of 2002 when all the rebels faded away.
