History: | Tensions between North and South Korego reached a breaking point in the mid 20th century. Northern Korego, with its highly industrialized economy and militant organization, began supporting covert strikes and sabotage campaigns within Southern Korego. Communist sympathizers in the south, disillusioned by the growing wealth gap and the dominance of the southern elite, fueled unrest. In 1957, Northern Korego launched the Great Liberation, a full-scale military offensive with the goal of reuniting the country under communist rule. Leveraging their superior military strength and the growing insurgency in the south, the north quickly gained the upper hand. Southern Korego’s military forces, while well-equipped, were unprepared for the combined onslaught from northern forces and internal rebel factions. By 1960, the southern capital had fallen, and Northern Korego declared victory. The reunification of Korego was complete, with the communist regime taking full control of the entire nation. |

Economy | |
Description: | Korego's economy operates under a rigid communist system, where the state controls all means of production and distribution. Private ownership is nonexistent, and all economic activities are centrally planned by the government. Agriculture serves as the backbone of the economy, with vast state-run farms producing the country's food supply. Crops like wheat, rice, and root vegetables are grown in abundance, while livestock farming focuses on cattle and poultry. In Korego, agricultural workers are highly valued, as they provide the sustenance for both the people and the military. Farmers receive government-issued rations, housing, and healthcare in exchange for their labor, but individual prosperity is sacrificed for the collective good. In addition to agriculture, the production of military equipment is the other dominant sector. Factories dedicated to manufacturing weapons, tanks, and aircraft are the heart of Korego's industrial might. These industries are closely tied to the nation's defense strategy, which emphasizes self-sufficiency and deterrence. The government directs substantial resources toward research and development of new military technologies, often at the expense of consumer goods and civilian infrastructure. As a result, the population endures shortages in everyday items, while the military remains well-funded and equipped. The strict control over both agriculture and arms production ensures that the state maintains absolute authority, with the economy entirely geared toward survival and defense. |

History: | The People’s Liberation Force (PLF) of Korego was formed in 1961 after the communist north’s victory and reunification of the country. Built on Northern Korego's industrial strength and military organization, the PLF unified northern forces, southern defectors, and rebel factions, while purging dissenting elements from the former southern military. Led by veterans of the Great Liberation, the PLF prioritized loyalty to the communist regime, internal security, and military self-sufficiency. With the creation of the People’s Liberation Army to suppress counter-revolutionary activities, the PLA became a powerful force, maintaining the regime's control and projecting its power regionally. |
