The Republic of Schilvania was the last country to gain independence from the British Empire on June 19, 1934. Until the late 1900s, it was home to a collection of undiscovered tribes and British settlers from the UK. On August 15, 1972, these tribes were unified to form the Republic of Schilvania. At the time of unification, each state had a different leader, with minimal interaction between states. However, on May 1, 1996, the nation held its first presidential election, in which the Democratic Party defeated the Labour Party.

Today, the government of Schilvania is a Democratic Republic with very moderate social policies. Economically, the Republic of Schilvania favors extremely left-wing policies. The official currency is the Orbis Note. The economy is primarily centered on small-scale manufacturing and the service sectors. These sectors are the largest in its two cities, the capital Leicester and Oxford. The rest of the country relies on smaller municipalities, such as Trenton and Pairth, with economic activities focused mainly the service sector.
