Made up of 20 collectivised states, PR Hydracia is a shining beacon for Communist Democracy, with various elections taking place throughout the year for positions ranging from local governmental elections, all the way to the largest election of the year - the Premier elections. Although the Premier has incredibly reserved powers and is easily removable, the population watches intently as they hope for their favourite candidate to be victorious.

General Election Results

2101 Election

This GE came just over two months after the introduction of a new party, the People’s Labour Movement(PLM - green colour). Their Leader, David Cross MA, campaigned heavily against the PDV and their ideals, however it attained nothing entirely of value. The PLM gained a decent amount of seats, totalling 15 - taking most of these seats from the MJP. The MJP were demolished, being reduced from 19 to just 6 seats in the Assembly, with all 13 they lost being replaced by the PLM. The SP also fell victim to the introduction of the PLM, losing 2 seats to them, whilst losing their third to the PDV, who had a measly gain of just one seat. The PDV, therefore, remains the largest party in the Assembly, with a 4 seat total majority and a 29 seat lead over the SP.

Premier Election Results

2101 Election

This election saw the introduction of PLM candidate David Cross, who was confident he could turn around his party’s fairly poor performance in the General Election. However, it was not to be, as although he came in second place, he missed out by a long way. Georg Clark, as he has continuously, led the polls at 81.2% of the popular vote, a drop of 4.1% from last election but certainly nothing to sniff at. David Cross accrued 10.5% of the vote, the largest a second place has ever achieved, with Ashvin Bala falling 2.3 points to 6.1% to take third. Timothy Hayden came in fourth, being decimated to just 2% of the popular vote, losing 2.2 points from last election, whilst Michael Smith lost 0.9 points to only 0.2% of the vote, finishing dead last.

The next General Election and Council Elections are due to take place on the 10th of January 2104, the next Premier Election on the 17th of January 2104 and the nect Regional Election is due to take place on the 20th of January 2102.
