The Indigenous Social Republic's government is a Socialist Republic with
very libertarian social policies. Economically, The Indigenous Social Republic
favors extremely left wing policies. The official currency of The Indigenous Social Republic
is the Wampum.

The Indigenous Social Republic is a Confederation of Native American tribes, loosely United in their shared goal of liberating themselves from the oppression of the white man. Their government is Libertarian in nature, seeking to stay as uninvolved with the personal lives of its citizens. Still, it is firmly left-wing economically, having extensive Universal Healthcare, Education, and welfare programs, often seen as direct opposition to the more free-market-orientated West. In terms of foreign policy, they seek military and economic aid from any nation that supports their liberation struggle. Likewise, they seek to arm/aid like-minded nations who seek to undo the oppression so common in the nations run by the White Devil.
The current government of the ISR consists of the Grand Tribal Council (GTC), a unicameral body of 500 Councilmen/women, with the Head of State and Government being the High Chairman, currently Povryan of the NPLP. The current ruling party is the Native People's Liberation Party (NPLP), a Big Tent party dedicated to freeing native people from the White Devil and protecting the ISR's extensive welfare programs. They are in a coalition with the Indigenous Socialist Party (ISP), the Protect Mother Earth Party (PMEP), and the First People's Party (FPP). The official opposition consists of the Indigenous Democratic Party (IDP), the Indigenous Constitutional Republican Party (ICRP), and the Independents (IND), known as the "Establishment Coalition". Before elections in March of 2098, the Establishment held power from the Republic's formation in 2090. The IDP and ICRP attempted to open up the economy to foreign investors, and began a process of detente with the West and America. The Establishment soon met its end at the hands of so-called 'Native Populism', a new powerful force within the politics of the ISR. The next elections will be in March of 2100.
Though the Indigenous Social Republic is new, formed in 2090, the will of the Native peoples of North America to be free of oppression goes back many centuries. We had asked the Spanish, the British, the French, and then the Americans for equality, trade partnership and new cultural experiences. They gave us disease, killed our women and children, destroyed the very land on which we lived and hunted. The native peoples, much like the spirits of the Earth, are angry when pushed and trifled with. Following the instability of 2090, the various tribes of Sioux, Cheyenne, and Crow tribes united under the “Indigenous Republic”. They began small, and still under the influence of the Democratic and Republican parties associated with the white men. This changed in 2096, when a wave of “Native Populism”, which was economically left wing and socially libertarian, though explicitly expansionist in nature, began to sweep the new Republic. The establishment parties changed their names, as well as the name of the nation, to appeal to native groups, and parties like the NPLP, FPP and PMEP formed and were first elected during this time. The Establishment Coalition were forced into the minority, and though the opposition was not unified enough to elect a High Chairman, the Coalition’s initiatives of opening up the economy to the West as well as reducing welfare benefits were stalled in the Grand Tribal Council. Now, in 2098, the so called “Native Coalition” of the NPLP, ISP, PMEP, and FPP rule together. The NPLP runs on governing the nation effectively, protecting and expanding the social safety net, and expanding workers rights. The ISP is a socialist party concerned with protecting workers rights, expanding the welfare systems, and abolishing what remains of small business in favor of democratized or nationalized workplaces. The PMEP is committed to protecting the environment as well as the democracy of the ISR, committed to protecting the right to vote for all within the republic. The FPP is a Native Populist party, advocating, among other things, for the expansion of the ISR to liberate other native groups under the control of other nations. The nation now sits at a precipice, ready to expand its territory and influence. The great liberation of the Native Peoples of America will be no easy task… but the will for a people to survive and thrive is as strong as the land on which they dwell…
