In 2011, a vast, powerful nation known as the Third Republic of Slactia ruled over much of the area Nebarro now calls home. For centuries, the Slactians had peacefully controlled the Nebarroan people, an ethnic group living within the Republic’s borders. However, after the government spiraled into autocracy, the dictator restricted voting only to ethnic Slactians. This angered the Nebarroans, who began to stir dissent and form several unorganized separatist groups. In 2014, these tensions came to a boiling point when Slactian police massacred Nebarroan protesters in Tergograd, the capital of the Republic. Opposition leader Cedric Margei organized the various resistance cells into a unified liberation front, which staged a coup against the ruling dictator Harrison Crollicz. On December 17th, 2014, tens of thousands of armed revolutionaries stormed the gates of Crollicz’s palace and executed him in his own office. When the sun rose over the capital the next morning, the nation was in Nebarroan hands. Margei formed a democratic government which treated all of Slactia’s ethnic groups equally, was elected as its first president, and promptly renamed the country. Over the course of the following decade, the Empire built infrastructure, houses, and a booming economy. Many began to migrate to Nebarro in search of a better life, while the Empire extended its colonial reach, procuring overseas territories and international ports, growing into the powerhouse we know today. |

The Empire of Nebarro occupies a vast continent twice the size of South America, and is divided into 10 states. Three continents surround the main one, each comprising its own territory. The states, going from north to south and east to west, are listed below:

The geography is hilly throughout much of the interior, and many regions are heavily forested. Much of the Continent is either taiga, deciduous forest, or subarctic tundra. There are two main mountain ranges, the Reisenburg Range in Reisenburg and the Nebarroan Alps in Turksten. The latter is home to excellent skiing conditions. There are several other notable ranges in the country as well. Coastal regions are primarily comprised of flat plains. To the Northeast of the continent are the Bay Islands, a large archipelago made up of rocky, polar islands. To the south of the Continent is Tashtis (Capital: Al- Tasht), a large desert continent. To the northwest of the Continent is Corso (Capital: Corso City), a territory known for its industrial economy and numerous exports to Nebarro. Corso has a mainly boreal and subarctic landscape. To the south of Corso is the tropical continent of Dolomia (Capital: San Darianus). Dolomia is home to a large logging industry, as well as many popular vacation spots. Also controlled by Nebarro are the Myrinian Islands (Capital: New Montgomery) home to a large anti-imperialism separatist movement. The Korro River Watershed encompasses most of Nebarro, and the many tributaries of the Korro form the backbone of the country’s domestic trade. The Great Lake, the largest lake in Nebarro, is the center of the system. Many of the rivers tributaries start in mountainous regions before flowing into the Korro, which eventually terminates at the Korro delta in western Turksten, where Korro City is located. The most populous state is Turksten, with its largest city being Elba, the fourth largest city in all of Nebarro. The fifteen most populous cities in Nebarro and its territories are listed below:

The government has complete control of the healthcare industry, maintaining hospitals and providing free healthcare to all citizens. It also has a large control over the transportation industry. The government runs an extensive intercity rail network, supplemented by state of the art maglev trains. Large cities have comprehensive subways and tram systems are common is less populated cities. Buses are used in rural areas. Citizens of Nebarro are wealthy, with most earning an average of $120,000. The poorest earn around $40,000, and the richest earn around $2,000,000. |
