History: Ledillon was under the rule of the Ifsonan Empire since 1411. The Ifsonans exploited Ledillonian natural resources such as timber and coal. The Ledillonians were forcefully put in harsh working and living conditions, a large population of which were enslaved by the Ifsonan nobility. Moreover, the Ifsonans taxed the Ledillonians a large percent of their income and placed an even bigger tax on Non-Muslims, Jizya Tax. On November 15 of 1744, the Ledillonian colonials revolted against the Ifsonian government, who were simultaneously fighting off the Ottoman Empire in the Ifson-Ottoman War. After the Ifsonians lost to the Ottomans, they were in big debt and had to hand over a large amount of their militia to the Ottomans. This weakened the Ifsonian forces and allowed for the Ledillonians to successfully kick the Ifsonans off the Ledillonian Peninsula. Ledillon officially gained their independence on June 10, 1758, after General Mohammadi of Ifson surrendered to General Stark of Ledillon. On this day, the United Nation of Ledillon was born and officially declared themselves a nation to the world.
