History: The communidt movement in Kyiv started midway through a rebellion, The Ukrainian Civil War, which saw the rebellion of the Ukrainian Republic against the Soviet Union. Soviet supporters and communists formed militias in the city of Kyiv, using guns smuggled in from the Belarusian Underground Railway. After a few weeks of preparing, they seized the city after a grueling 5 day battle. With the battle over, Soviet Forces reinforced the city and the rest of the war continued out, with our militias support. The Communist Uprising in Kyiv was one of the reasons the Ukrainian Republic lost the war. Ukraine was annexed into the Union once again, but the region of Kyiv Oblast was given autonomy for the foreseen future.
