Following the dissolution of the Australian National Commune in 2034, many of its democratic senators fled to Tasmania, which had been a part of the Tsardom of Parvillium at the time. The Tsardom originally welcomed the new political figures, but soon abruptly stopped their support for the senators as they were starting to help the Ravinian Insurgency destroy key supply depots in the Tsardom, while also defending the insurgents, claiming “they were just doing some wetwork.” Eventually, the Tsardom caught hold of the full picture, and started to strip not just the Ravinian civil liberties away, but the senators’ power in the Tsardom’s de-facto national congress. The senators were not aware of this, as it was very gradual. However, a Ravinian revolutionary Sam Tratner and his group of insurgents were able to storm the national congress during a sitting, exposing the facts to the senators, as well as many of the Tsardom’s governors. The Tsardom’s military was quick to act, killing 4 of the 39 insurgents and permanently injuring Tratner in his shoulder. In the next sitting, the National Commune’s senators advocated for Ravinian independence, as everyone knew it would happen one way or another eventually. This was obviously rejected, and the senators eventually left their political career to move on to other jobs, most of them relocating to the Zealander Federation to work on bolstering its infrastructure, but one Anton Vektor decided against that, instead becoming one of Tratner’s closest generals in the Ravinian Insurgency. We’ll talk more about Anton soon.

After the revolution concluded, Sam Tratner was picked by the National Assembly to be the first president of the Dominion of Ravinia. Despite losing a few wars against some major powers in Australia, he made it up with his incredible talent to rebuild his country in just a few weeks. When the first real election was held, the Paternalistic Dominionists just barely were able to win both the election and congressional elections. Their canidate, Marcella Thorne, promised to rearm Ravinia for their “rightful reclamation of the Australian mainland.” Following Ravinia’s victory over the Union of Southern Victoria, Ravinia was able to gain a foothold on the Australian mainland. Marcella ordered the military to make this area the most defended part of Ravinia, which they did. However, back in Tasmania, corruption, poverty, and constant food crisises made the citizen’s faith in Marcella drop to 7%. Eventually, Marcella saw this, and launched major job campaigns, but the Ravinian populus just wasn’t having it. Anton Vektor, having lost all nationalism for the Ravinian leadership, couped the government on December 15, 2094. The coup was orchestrated by using a large number of soldiers, tanks, and artillery at midnight. The military first took poorly defended governmental building such as the treasury, national congressional building, and part of the White House’s bottom floor. Then, the 102nd Infantry Division stormed the Oval office, only to find it empty. 4 hours after this event occured, the military had complete control over the nation.

What followed next was 9 hours of chaos and anarchy, as daring rebels and prisoners formed paramilitaries and gangs. All of this was only halted after the military anounced they had restored order on a national broadcast, declaring martial law. Mutinies in the Navy and Air Force were also common after the armed forces restored order, such as Captain Anthony Middleton of the 62nd Victoria Class Destroyer, who started a rebellion with four other undisclosed ships, and an unknown Marshal who, with several other planes, bombed the Ravinian Soldiers’ Memorial and crashed his fighter into the Ravinian Trade Tower. The Navy’s mutiny was easily put down following negotiations at Port Yukon which allowed greater power for the navy in congressional meetings. The Air Force, however, was firmly opposed to any type of negotiation. Following a warning artillery shot, the revolting aircraft launched an attack on the set negotiating grounds, which was a failure, resulting in 5 calculated casualties. Soon after this event, the remaining aircraft escaped from the Air Force loyal to the new order. The remaining aircraft soon committed the atrocities listed before. The new order in Ravinia started to rehabilitate the nation, trying to forget the coup. Reconstruction in Vale and Nova Scotia helped, but not enough to get the people’s support for the new order. What really got the people going was the construction of four new cities, which helped a lot in raising the confidence of the people.
