The Union of Socialists (Союз социалистов) Is a nation forged by the collective of its people. Unlike predecessors like the USSR / Soviet Union (C.C.C.P /Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик / Soyuz Sovietskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) The Union of Socialists is not ruled by a dictator at the top but abides by the views of no man is above another, with this the people of the nation have a vote in everything, Tho typically they are like minded. The Union of socialists is not a pure Socialist country more rather a hybrid of different views. This is because no political or social view is perfect. 

It takes the part of socialism into where every man woman and child are equal. Housing, food, and work is provided for negating the lack of necessities found in most countries that adopt a more fend for yourself approach like the United States. Because of this there is no homelessness, starvation, or unemployment.  
 
However, the Union is not a moneyless state, it trades with other nations using money, but its citizens also use money. However, money is not used nor needed for necessities, rather it is used for luxury goods to improve one’s quality of life. 
How much money one earns is based upon 4 factors.  
1) Specialization. Specialist Higher education jobs like doctor's scientists and other important things come with a higher pay to incentivize people to become specialists. 

2) Innovation. Those who produce new innovations to help improve the Union are given bonuses from the Collective as a reward for improving their way of life, whether it be new manufacturing technology or something groundbreaking and new. This incentivizes the creativity of the finest minds to help keep up with the advancement of technology 

3) Exceptional working performance. Instead of basing performance of a previous year like the USSR did. (There was a loophole people exploited) A Fixed base line is placed depending on the average Production value which is based on technology as well as physical capabilities. Those who go beyond the baseline are rewarded for their added arduous work to show appreciation as well as given an incentive. 

4) Military and Emergency services. The Military of the Union is purely volunteer based and there is no short supply of volunteers, and it must be limited to ensure other civilian jobs are met. Those who do enlist into the military and emergency services are paid a bonus due to the high physical and mental demand and inherent risk of the job. Those who Die in the military, police force, or fire brigade are given the highest Honor and are memorialized by the entire Union As well as receiving a bonus to the next of kin for their sacrifice. 
 

Equality of life opportunity and of voice is fundamental for the union and everyone is given their equal share.  
Though some people do make more than others and people say this does not make people equal, that is far from the truth as everyone has the opportunity to also make more with the above 4 factors. (Although 1,2 and 4 are more limited 

The last Part is of liberalism. Everyone is allowed to live the life they want to live provided it does not negatively impact the lives of others. 
 
In the Union the Crime of Theft is profoundly serious and comes with a high price, as stealing from someone who has put in their share of work, or more is hugely frowned upon as it shows a sign of distrust, laziness, and lack of union among the people of the collective. The Punishment for Theft / Robbery is Imprisonment with forced labor to repay their debts. They are also reformed to prevent them from reoffending. Multiple offences of theft / robbery come with life imprisonment. 
 
1st degree murder is punishable by death 

2nd degree murder is punishable by 15 years imprisonment for the first life taken anymore is immediate life  

Manslaughter is punishable up to 5 years imprisonment depending on how the deceased died and whether it could have been prevented. If I the case where it is a complete accident say vehicular manslaughter because of ice, no punishment is given. 

Self-Defence and the defence of others is not punished if lethal force is used. 

The Union of socialists are a peaceful people and do not actively seek out to take from other nations whether it be land or people, but woe be told that any who dares to disrupt the sanctity of the Union will answer to the full might of the Union.
