History: The once-divided Riverlands were made up of multiple city-states all waging war. The biggest and most powerful were Vlietburg and Reijkograd. Under King Liam the 1st these city-states were united, unfortunately, during the battle of Reijkograd the King was shot, and his son King Liam the 2nd was crowned the next day. The new King issued a new imperial flag and dubbed the newly united Riverland city-states as Vlietlandia. But the young King is already eyeing new city-states to add to his kingdom...

Terrain: Vlietlandia is surrounded by rivers, wetlands, and marshes, called the Riverlands, all below sea level. An intricate network of dykes and windmills, shared by the entire Riverlands through the treaty of Coltstream, make sure that the people of Vlietlandia stay nice and dry.

Climate: Cold winds from the glaciers up north can create freezing weather in Vlietlandia. However, in the summer the people of Vlietlandia can experience hot weather from the deserts down south. The highest temperature ever recorded is 39 degrees celsius.
