The Nord-Norge Føderasjon (formerly known as the Republic of Hammerfest) is a Federation of Regional Republics from Northern Norway. It originally started as the Municipality of Hammerfest in 1838 AD, as a Trade & Fishing Center of the North and grew gradually over the centuries due to migration and tourism within the Vest-Finnmark, thus expanding the settlement. 

In 2069 AD, the Municipality of Hammerfest hosted an internal referendum to formally secede from the Oslo Norwegian Government, earning its name as the Republic of Hammerfest. This event is known as the Hammerfest Referendum that prelude the timeline of the "Northern Secession Crisis of 2072" in which other municipal and regional territories followed, forming their geographical entities as secessionist nations or city states.
