Currently, the Greater German Empire resides in Central Europe as a token of the world's prosperity and power. After the invasions of its neighbors, Berlin and its territories became immensely wealthy and extremely powerful, integrating the confederation of states in the greater German lands into a single unified state. People living within the Empire currently have high standards of living as well as a highly effective government. The military that the Empire has is a force to be reckoned with, and continues to grow, drawing its ever-increasing strength from within its vast territories and peoples in order to achieve maximum power. Companies and businesses have sprung up in great waves as the nation's wealth continues to compound. The largest beneficiary of this whole ordeal is the Kaiser of Berlin, the emperor of the Greater German Empire. His power and intelligence exceed all of his subordinates and continue to rule skillfully, providing a gentle, yet firm hand on one of what undoubtedly will be one of the greatest and strongest nations this world has ever seen. The neighbors outside of the German borders are jealous of the wealth and power bestowed upon the Germans, but they cannot do anything about it, for the Empire is simply too powerful. The peoples of Bavaria, Hanover, Brandenburg, or whatever territory of Germany, all turn towards the future and what lies ahead, excited for what successes await them. The tables of history have turned, and it is the Greater German Empire's turn to decide what happens next. Through their strength, through their pride, through their wealth, and most importantly through their power, as the Empire will forever say,

History: | For many years, the lands of Bavaria, the Rhine, Saxony, Prussia, and all the other lands in what is now Germany, were independent of one another in what was a conglomerated mess of nations and fiefs constantly at war with each other for the most insignificant reasons. Above these smaller kingdoms was a smaller City State in the northern portion of the Prussian region, known as Berlin. Although smaller in size, Berlin hosted a proud military and was very disciplined in the way of war. Berlin’s influence steadily grew over many years, with its leaders growing more and more capable and suitable for their position at the head of what was now the largest city in the German lands. In the grand scheme of the fiefs of Germany’s existence, it was not long before Berlin gained the lands of Brandenburg, and Saxony-Anhalt under its rule. As the godsent city continued its expeditions further out, the Berliners continued to gain more and more wealth from their plunder, effectively making it the trading hub of eastern Germany. A few years after their assimilation of Saxony-Anhalt into their nation, the state of Mecklenburg and its coastal plains were included in their kingdom, making a seafaring nation as well as a terrain-based nation. These victories and inclusion of further territories continued to happen over many years until it was basically the ruler of what is now the region of Brandenburg-Prussia. It is at this time that the nation adopted the name “The German Empire”, yet it only resided in the east of the regions that made up Germany, but that was soon to change. As Berlin continued its seemingly endless waves of expansion, the nations to the south and to the west became ever more jealous and fearful of them, specifically the larger nations of Bavaria, Bohemia, the Rhine, and Hamburg. These nations began their militarization early into the years of Berlin's expansion, in hopes that war would never reach their borders. Eventually, as Berlin continued waging wars that dragged further and further into the west, they came across the state of Hanover, which was an important tributary to Hamburg. After many failed diplomatic talks between Berlin and Hamburg, in their pride, Berlin declares open war on Hamburg. This event caused a chain reaction among the great powers of Germany, where Hamburg called the Rhine and Bavaria into war against Berlin, with Bohemia remaining neutral, and the northern fiefs of Hamburg rising against their oppressive lords. These revolts in the north would ultimately be the undoing of this alliance. Berlin started its push into the west generally unopposed, with victories beginning to pour in, and this seemed off to the generals of the Berlin Army. This eventually led to a surprise attack on Berlin forces at the Battle of Bielefeld, just southwest of Hanover. This attack was the first genuine challenge that Berlin had faced in its wars of expansion. Over the course of just under a month, Berlin forces had finally managed to drive the Alliance’s forces out of Bielefeld, and over the border into Hanover and further south into Hesse. It was at this time that the nation of Bohemia was called into the war, marching its forces into the southern border of the German Empire. This proved to be initially effective, taking regions of Saxony from the Berliners, and driving them out of the strategically important Dresden. This was, however, as far as they got, as before they reached the borders of Brandenburg, contingents of their western army had come down to put a stop to the under-equipped and insufficiently trained Bohemian forces. This was the most success the alliance had, as in due time Hanover and Bavaria were invaded, and the Rhine surrendered, and Bohemia being besieged into submission. The only lands that were granted independence were the northern fiefs of Hanover, but after a few years they asked for integration into the German Empire. After this change, the German Empire was now renamed, after their unification of the German states, “The Greater German Empire”. |
