History:	Gwlad Emrys was formed out of the nation of Camelot. In 2019, Dinas Emrys held an illegal independence referendum with 68% voting for independence. After the Dinas Emrys mayor was put in prison, fighting began in the streets of Dinas Emrys. A successful drone strike by Camelot destroyed Dinas Emrys' historic central square, killing 2,623 civilians. After the General Camelot election of 2021, where no party gained a majority, the Dinas Emrys National Party gained a deal in which they supported the Labour Party in return for independence. A second referendum was held, in which 78% of Dinas Emrys' population voted for independence. In the negotiations, Camelot agreed to transfer a large portion of land to sustain Gwlad Emrys' needs. On 09/06/2021 the first election of Gwlad Emrys was held with the Labour party returned to power with a depleted majority of 4.

History:	The Dinas Emrys local army was founded in 2019, during the illegal independence referendum. In 2021, when independence was gained, it was re-named the Gwlad Emrys National Military. Due to the 2019 war, it is a weak and rebuilding army with various tanks in its arsenal. There is no conscription to the military, but it was found that 43% of the Gwlad Emrys population between 18 and 32 was in the Armed Forces in 2019. Since then, numbers have declined but 48% has issued an interest in joining once there is the capacity.
