Billions and billions of years ago, there was nothing. That is until an all-powerful entity seeded the great dark beyond with his lights and so on driven the wheel of enlightenment for all thee. The almighty one would one day encounter one of his very creations, Orbis for the LARPers, Terra, the to-be R*mans would call it, Gaia in Gayreek barbarity, Aqua in Terrestria's callings, or Earth in the common tongues in however you want to say it. There is one particular Terran kind that caught his attention- in the far east of Orient, a civilization in the Yellow River arose and with them bear immense thirst for knowledge beyond their mortal comprehensions. The Great One saw the determination in their eyes and would indirectly interfere in helping, he who would then be defied as the almighty "Shen" in the civilization's tales. Time goes by, knowing he has fulfilled all he needs, Shen departs and sets sail for other realms, and lets the Orientals thrive on their own and spread civilization across the globe. However, unbeknownst to everyone, an aggroup of dark beings called the Void Lords, in their own ambitions, sweep their way across the universe to wipe out any shards of life possible. They came across Orbis one day and saw the prosperous yet foolish mortals. Instead of just wiping them out like usual, a worse fate was cast on the planet. The wicked VLs decided to ploy around the species dwelling on the planet and corrupted them into dark, mindless servants whose only purpose was to seek out to torch out the lights of civilization Shen had so fountained. The Lords first started with a group of Oriental travelers in E*ropa, posing as holy beings, said Lords promised the fools endless pleasures and eternal beauty as long as they plead themselves to the true "gods", the fools then accepted it and as promised, gained extraordinary external beauties, but at the cost of their souls, they became voidspawn creatures known as the gw*ilos. Under the Void Lords' whispers, they would locate themselves to Aetalia and formed a subhuman "civilization" known as R*me, which would then become the very evil foundations of the dark Shenforsaken continent E*ropa, and at last, go out their way to wipe out the last remnants of civilization at the far, far east- CHINA.

Nanyue (南越) was an ancient kingdom that consisted of parts of the modern Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan, and modern day north of Vietnam. Nanyue was established in 204 BC at the final collapse of the Qin dynasty by Zhao Tuo, a great and wise commander of Han Chinese origins. Chinese-style bureaucracy, advanced agriculture and handicraft techniques are then to brought to the region, as well as knowledge of the Chinese language and writing system due to the promoted policy of "Harmonizing and Gathering the Hundred Yue tribes", which eventually mixed the two into one single cultural entity.
In this timeline, however, the Nanyues never fell under the blades of the emerging Han Empire, overtime, they transitioned into a prosperous and mighty empire covering most of Southeast Asia and the mountainous south of China. Trade with other nations too helped bring more innovations and goods to the Empire, but with that also brought new enemies who were envious of the Empire's ever-growing riches. By the 14th century, however, the Nanyue Empire was now just a former shadow of its former glory's diseases, conflicts, and corruptions have ravaged and severally weakened the nation, allowing its capital to be salvaged and lost to the Mongols later in 1289, and the empire never hope to recover again. The Nanyues stood for another century as a rump state comprising parts of Indochina and the Malay Archipelago until the central state finally fell to the relentless flames of revolutions and foreign invasions, and with this, the southern dragon has finally fallen.
Forward to the modern day, everything is still pretty the same, internet is there, dogs still bark, the Vietnam War did occur and the North won, etc. except the modern Viets now larped even harder than our timeline and wished to restore Nanyue, could they ever succeed? That is another question we are about to find out, in this mega larp MMO. |
