As the Alþingi collapsed and the Norwegian crown spread its influence over the island, in isolated mountains a fiefdom remained alive with its own peoples þingi providing a democratic framework of development, they spread in the mountains until breaking out in revolution against the Danish occupiers sparked by the ideas of revolutionary voices from Europe.
Now it is up for the people united between sea and peak, to lead the revolution across the island and to stand firm, dig in and face off against all imperialist aggression.

The harsh and steep mountains that stand tall and the violent fury of the oceans, the waves colliding against rocky outcropping, the erosion of stone and soil, and the creation of new land through geological process, a dialectic in full throw through millions of years forming these Rocks now home to the Icelanders.
As Norsemen sailed in along favorable winds they find an island free from the expansion of power in the south, from the Jarls in their regions, the Kings in their Countries and from the Christian church that extends its reach up, they raise cattle and homestead, leading a new life, in such a cold place they seek a warm future, optimism that builds action, like their forefathers and the forefathers before them they establish a Thing, a cultural and civic inheritance, the ideas of democracy, though it be twisted as it is, a democracy of slave owners.
in the north it takes hold more firmly, where conditions are more barren, but likewise their resolve for a warm future is even more so, a few centuries of settling and the Norwegian crown seeks to widen its dominance, the island falls under the Norwegian crown, but in the Westfjord mountain fiefs their democracy perseveres, to deepen its roots and to spread from mountain to valley to mountain again.
By the time of later Danish occupation and with the circulation of Marxist ideas there is a spark, and it lights a revolution that quickly sees the Westfjords free once more, but its not long before Danish navy ships blockade the Westfjords and soldiers are found marching near the new border, skirmishes and incursions happen, the Royal forces dead set on squashing the revolution, through secret cooperation with Icelanders all throughout the island, espionage on Danish supply and large scale smuggling of goods to circumvent the blockade.
Now the island finds itself in war as Norikk seeks to free the rest of occupied Iceland. |

The economy is structured with the base Production teams, a village will be responsible for its own budget, organizes its own work, elects its own leaders and is known as a Production Team.
A single village is unable to construct its own tractors and set up a highschool or any large scale irrigation work, so a number of villages together form a Production Brigade, and these brigades for even bigger projects like building a dam or a modern hospital are associated together as a Peoples Commune.
Additionally the military forms a significant aspect of the economic structure, the army has two areas of economic activity symbolized well in their motto "unified between sea and mountain".
The navy and the fishing industry are thoroughly intertwined, with many fishing ships made to function as well in battle and for battle ships to be equipped with fishing equipment and to have Sailors trained in fishing, when the navy is protecting fishing waters it will nearly always be doing some fishing itself and likewise when fishermen are on the job, they are protecting the waters they rely on.
