Popular Post Valdoroth
In compliance with our agreement for the peace of the Christmas War here, I present you the essay. There are 2 warnings. Warning: There are GoT spoilers here aside from personal conjecture of what may happen. Warning 2: The scroll image is very large. plaintext The Starks having re-taken Winterfell led by Jon Snow know well what lays beyond the Wall far to the North. Bran Stark is on his way back ahead of the Whitewalkers in a race to the other side of the wall. We learned here that the walls were built with magic that keep it from being felled. It has stood for centuries without the slightest decay. However, with the strength and number of the White Walker force, and the unknown limits of the Whitewalker King, hereon dubbed White King, the Wall will not likely be able to hold them off. The walls themselves are not the weakness, but the men and castles that guard it are. There are nineteen watch towers, but due to decrease in manning over the century, only three are now maintained. Shadow Tower, Castle Black, and Eastwatch are all that remain as a deterrence from what lies beyond the wall, true Winter. During the records of A Storm of Swords, we saw the battle at Castle Black of Mance Rayder’s invasion that led to their defeat, almost broke through the defenses. The biggest difference between the Wildling’s invasion and that which will be the Whitewalkers, is that Wildlings can die while Whitewalkers only have three weaknesses. There is an extreme limit to obsidian and it is only known by a few that it is one of only three ways to kill Whitewalkers other than dragon’s breath and Valyrian steel. With knowledge of both the limitation of resources to counter the Whitewalkers, the first raids will break through the wall. Just before the Whitewalkers make it to the Wall however, Queen Daenerys Targaryen will land in Westeros, and will very quickly be able to take over due to the major divisions of current powers. The Wall will likely be reinforced with defenses that Jon Snow sends as soon as they know that Winter has come. The defenses will probably only be able to hold for a week at most, but it may be possible to hold out for up to a month if things go right for the Watch and the North defense. They understand that losing the Wall will mean the end of men in Westeros, and likely the rest of the world. Daenerys’ dragons will prove to be one of the primary resources to defeating the Winter that will come. The North will have only just finished being re-established and defending the Wall when Daenerys takes over King’s Landing. She will look to take over the North next of course, and Jon Snow leading as King of the North will be too busy having to combat the Whitewalkers that he will not be able to counter any attacks that Daenerys may do. Knowing this though, there’s a good chance that Jon will want to look at an alliance agreement of sorts. From Brandon Stark’s vision at the end of season six, we get the idea that Jon Snow is not actually blood son of Eddard, but of his sister, Lyanna. As she died, he took Jon with him to raise him as his own son, but since no one knew his real mother since Eddard kept it secret, Jon was considered a bastard child. The likelihood that Jon is of both Targaryen and Stark blood seems to be high. In a nutshell, the wall will hold, but the castles that defend the walls will not hold. Cheers! --- Valdoroth Kai, King of the Seven Kingdoms Alliance Edited January 18, 2017 by Valdoroth

I take that as a compliment. Do you really know nothing of tradition? It's not like we haven't been doing this for 3+ years now....
