I try to record all updates to the game here. Each changelog post should have a relevant forum post, so head there for discussion: Announcements
09/17/2016 - Radiation |
---|
I'm getting a lot of messages about the new Radiation mechanic, mostly negative asking me to remove it or nerf it. I am making a quick post to address everyone who feels similarly: I will not be removing or nerfing the mechanic. You may be unhappy with your lack of food production currently, but you all (the players) collectively have the means to end the madness, if you so choose. We're currently on the verge of a global crisis, as almost every continent is at 0 Food Production. If you are unhappy with the current trend, then you will have to solve this issue among yourselves (and you have the ability. Just lay off launching the nukes.) Please do not continue to message me about this issue, I will not help you. I will tell you what I have told you above - that this is your (collective) problem to address and solve. Partake in the "Politics" aspect of the game. Posted by Alex 09/17/2016 07:49 pm |
09/11/2016 - Nuclear Radiation Index |
Beware, beware, the nuclear holocaust is upon us! No longer will your nations be free from the radioactivity wrought by nuclear warfare. Your nation is now subject to the Nuclear Radiation Index, which has two components - a global index, and a regional (continent based) index. The index increases when nuclear weapons are successfully detonated, and then dissipates over time. What the radiation index affects is your food production. As the index rises, your food production decreases. I've been kind enough to start the radiation index at 0 for the entire world and all continents. Further nuclear detonations will affect and increase the index, however. For more information on how this works, check out the new Radiation page. Enjoy your nuclear warfare and subsequent war profiteering! Posted by Alex 09/11/2016 10:27 pm |
09/01/2016 - September Donations |
Hey all! It's the first of the month again, that means that your Credit redemption caps have been reset. Redemption values and limits are the same as last month, which means you can redeem up to 10 Credits for your nation for gameplay bonuses, that's things like: 1 Credit/$2,500,000; 4 Credits/Reset City/Project Timer; 1 Credit/500 Manufactured Resources, 1 Credit/50 Infrastructure. You can spend as many Credits as you want on cosmetic things like flags, VIP subscriptions, player advertisements, and more that don't affect your gameplay ability. Remember, purchasing Credits is what allows Politics & War to exist and thrive as a free to play game. We limit Credit redemption to prevent the game from becoming pay-to-win, but encourage you to donate to support the game and keep development active. For more information about donations and Credits, check out the Donate page which is available in the sidebar under Account. Posted by Alex 09/01/2016 12:31 am |
08/24/2016 - Multiple Nations on Same Network Policy |
We no longer have a 2 nations/network restriction in the Game Rules. HOWEVER, each individual player is still only allowed ONE nation. New nations, and nations on the same network will face restrictions in trading based on average market prices to prevent cheating. Please review the update Game Rules Posted by Alex 08/24/2016 04:24 am |
08/04/2016 - Cover Images |
Your nation page has seen a slight makeover; you now have a cover image which you can choose on the Edit page. Just a minor tweak to make the game more aesthetically appealing, in particular to new players. VIP Members can select a custom image on the VIP page. Posted by Alex 08/04/2016 06:44 pm |
