12/13/2022 - Server Stability

The game is currently experiencing issues with core infrastructure and services. The current ETA on a resolution 5 hours. In the meantime we are keeping the game as running as best we can. However you may experience connectivity issues and also issues with actions such as trades or purchases saving. Additionally, there is a high probability that turns will not process until this is fixed.

12/01/2022 - Donation Limit Reset

Donations have now been reset for the new month! You can now redeem up to 20 Credits for at least $400,000,000 directly in-game each month.

As a reminder about Donations, you can use up to 20 Credits per month on in-game bonuses like 1 Credit for $20,000,000 in-game money, 1 Credit for a set amount of Resources, 1 Credit for 100 Infrastructure, 3 Credits to reset your New City timer, and 1 Credit to reset your National Project timer. You can spend an unlimited number of Credits per month on cosmetic bonuses, like VIP, Player Ads, and Name Changes. If you have any questions about donations or credits, please jump on the Discord server and ask in #support.

10/19/2022 - PSA - Beware of Phishing Emails

It has come to our attention that someone may be attempting to spoof emails from [email protected]. This should not be a widespread issue at all, because your email addresses have not been compromised nor are they public information, but if you get an email from Politics and War, please double-check any links in them. The link I saw in the reported (likely phishing) attempt was to "local.pnw.com" not politicsandwar.com or test.politicsandwar.com.

Phishing attempts across all services (though more often your bank accounts and similar) are common, and you should always double check the sender and links in emails you receive. Again, I do not think this is a widespread issue, and I would be very surprised if anyone other than the one person received this email (maybe just a kid playing around with the idea of faking emails) but I wanted to share this PSA regardless to ensure the security of our community.

10/02/2022 - Community feedback wanted for new tutorial

Hello everyone, It's me Belgium (not that all of you will know me, but oh well :p), and I'm here to talk with y'all about the new tutorial. 
After a lot of work (which didn't always go as smoothly as we wanted it to, I must admit). I finally feel comfortable publicly releasing a first "draft" for community feedback.
I urge you all to read this little wall of text before jumping into the draft and leaving your (much wanted) opinions in the comments.

  • First off, I want to highlight that this is indeed a draft. If everything here turns out to be bad (which I indeed very much doubt), the tutorial will be re written completely if needed.
    • We are looking for feedback on small things (typos) to big things (re structuring of chapters, adding more parts etc..) I am sure you are all creative enough to give generous amounts of feedback, please do not leave a stone unturned.
    • I also have a few very specific questions to which I would like an answer:
      • Do we need to add new player raiding to this guide.
      • Do we need to guide players a bit longer? Maybe less intensive, but still a little siderail to city ten for example?
  • I want as many people to leave feedback as possible, I (and others) will read every piece of constructive feedback, I will also try to respond as much as I can here. However if your feedback is pure flaming, or completely unconstructive criticism it might very well get ignored.
  • The way the tutorial is presented will change. Currently new players access the tutorial by going to "objectives". But in the future (when this gets implemented) it will be done by going to "tutorial". If you want to figure out how that will look in broad terms, I encourage you to check it out on the test server. The system there isn't final yet (bugs need fixing + the actual text isn't in there yet). It isn't too different to what objectives is right now though, in practice it will be a pop up instead of a whole different page and people will be able to switch freely between headers (everything with ##'s will be it's own header). 
  • Rewards are not yet in this version of the tutorial, once the text is (nearly) finalized we will get back to adding in the rewards.
  • I'm aware the outline / chapter overview in the document is broken, I'm not sure why, google docs is borking itself.
