Moments ago, Chancellor Glatix di Glatix, the beloved leader of Glatixland and recipient the 2072's 'Sexiest Dictator Alive' award, personally announced that our great nation will be lending aid to the people of Igua-sul. A massive task force has been prepared and launched into the Atlantic ocean to deter Williamsbourg aggression.
The Chancellor had this to say:
"While we can certainly respect the brutal authoritarianism of the Williamsbourgians... Williamsbourgsie... however the hell you say it, we condemn in no uncertain terms the use of nuclear weapons. We maintain that they are a coward's weapon, and that any self-respecting nation will choose to murder their enemies man-to-man, like God intended. Thus, we declare our support for the Sulistas. The Shuttenboatte has been placed on high-alert, and our fleets will begin regular patrols of the southern Atlantic."
Negotiations with Igua-sul in progress for potential joint military base
Glatixian diplomats are actively involved in discussions with the Sulista government to work out an agreement on a shared naval base, which would host joint Glatixian-Sulista military exercises and allow for an undetermined number of Glatixlandwehr soldiers and support to be stationed in Igua-sul. The Sulistas have generously offered to fund a portion of the base's construction, in the event that an agreement is reached.
