Now it is official! After weeks of rumors, it is finally public that the first football season in Husen-Kurl starts. We will introduce the competing teams, the competition itself and the further planned process.

It has been announced that seven clubs will participate in the league. Every club plays two games against every other club. That results in a season of 12 matchdays. The first game will be on 28th September 2072 which is FC Lukania against Brackurler SC and the last game on 2nd May 2073 which is Brackurler SC against Malseener Delfine.

The competing teams are these (with the cities they come from):

  • FC Lukania (Lukania)
  • Brackurler SC (Brackurl)
  • Malseener Delfine (Malseen)
  • Fortuna Abeita (Abeita)
  • Newstart F.C. (Newstart)
  • Modern Keinplan (Keinplan)
  • Perlbuchter SC (Perlbucht)

The team of Brackurl will play their home games in a stadium in Malseen for this season because they don't have an own one yet.

The league is organized by a new established association which is subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior. The government announced that it will support the league financially for its first year. It promised cheaper ticket prices on matchdays, financial support for training centers that meet certain requirements and a higher presence of police and cleaning staff on matchdays. Every club already got 3,000,000$ for the start. The association clearly pointed out that it will be anxious to protect the sport football itself and won't let it happen that it is going to be commercialized. They, for example, think about restrictions on player salaries and a strict investor policy.

Nothing can be really said now but we arranged a group of people to analyze the expectations for this first season. Our experts think that the race for 1st place will be decided by FC Lukania or Brackurler SC. Both teams have the advantage that they are located in the two most important cities in Husen-Kurl and therefore have a large selection on players and also a good infrastructure right from the beginning. As a candidate to surprise many people our experts have pointed out the team of Malseen. They might not be as broad as the two favourites but have good and skillful players which only will have to connect to each other, according to our experts. If they gain the required team spirit, they could end up on the 3rd place. For Fortuna Abeita and also Perlbuchter SC our experts don't see really good chances. Especially Abeita has a team build of rather poor, underclass workers which rather play football as a hobby. Therefore Abeita also has the smallest stadium with only 12,000 seats. The biggest stadium is the stadium in Lukania with around 66,000 seats, directly followed by Malseen's stadium with 63,000 seats. Brackurl's stadium holds 54,000 seats.

Now here is a big development! When the President was asked if he would also play in the league he answered: " First, I am very proud and cheerful that we can finally start this project! I love football! And... I don't want to say too much but it may be possible that one day I will participate in the league. Of course as a coach and not as a player, I am a little bit too old now! (laughs) [...] Maybe I also only train a kids team a few times, we'll see." These are interesting news! It is questionable if the President can manage his real job and his football coach aspirations at the same time. We stay tuned!

Now let's enjoy a great first season!
