The Gwlad Emrys Post received reports today (07/11/ 2021) around noon that police stations and hospitals had closed across the nation. Over the past few hours, reporters in multiple cities have received reports of frustrated homeowners being turned away from vital supplies in hospitals and police stations. At the same time, there are reports that barracks, factories and drydocks have expanded rapidly, however we are unsure of the connection between both events.

Multiple Mayors have called for calm across cities, with many expressing their shock and uncertainty at these events. The capital's mayor released a statement in which he said:

“I have not had any information regarding any changes to our city's structure, nor do I have any recollection of meetings where an increase in military capacity was discussed”.

Without hospitals and police stations, the crime and disease rate has increased dramatically with many frightened residents unable to gain access to vital services.

Opposition MPs have criticised the move, with the ex Labour PM calling on the government to “provide urgent clarification and information regarding today's events”.

The government has issued a statement this afternoon where it said the following:

“The Prime Minister would like to urge all citizens to remain calm. Events are currently moving quickly and, while we cannot at present disclose the meaning of current events, the Prime Minister will address Parliament as soon as he is able to do so - most likely at the start of next week. In the meantime, the government urges all citizens to make use of services still available to them, and if needed contact emergency phone lines to make use of the hospital  and police station still open in Llandeilo.”

It is unclear how the Pound will react to these events, but many believe that it is likely to plummet yet again - opposing the government's efforts to stabilise and increase the level. Many people are waiting for the markets to open tomorrow morning to see what the levels might be.
