The new Liberal PM has announced the nation's largest overhaul into military leaders since the formation of Gwlad Emrys. The Prime Minister announced at noon that the government has undertaken a “mass restructuring of our military services”

This is yet another move by the new PM to show that he is already down to work and pundits suggested that it would only be a matter of time before the PM would restructure the civil service. However, many did not guess that it would happen at the beginning of the first full week in his job.

The Ground Forces General “Harold Mc Davies” has been replaced by “Max Williams”, while the Air Force General “Sophie Price” has been replaced by “Dafydd Hardy”. The Naval Forces General “Dafydd Williams” has also been replaced by “Iestyn Thomas”. It is rumoured that the Espionage General (identity not known) has not been replaced in this reshuffle.

Opposition parties have spoken out against this move,  including the Labour Former Prime Minister. While he is no longer leader of the Labour Party, the former PM told the Gwlad Emrys Post that he was “disappointed” with the move. He said “with the economic state of the nation, what we need now is certainty and stability. The Prime Minister's actions in replacing our most experienced military commanders only serve to decrease our stability and confidence”

Analysis

This is yet another move by the Liberal PM that seems to be an attempt to show certainty and workmanship at the beginning of his term. While we are not at war at present, many are wondering about the timing of this overhaul, especially with Gwlad Emrys getting more and more involved with raiding activities. However, the government argues that it is necessary action to ensure strength and stability, two aspects that some believe this nation lacks.
