For the first time in Areulia's history, a foreign nation had dared provoke Arutopia by initiating a naval exercise within her Exclusive Economic Zone. The People's Republic of Tania, for unknown reasons, has declared that a naval exercise is to be executed to "test international striking capabilities". An important figure of the Tanian Navy has been reported to be moving along with the fleet, seemingly to observe the operation.

Arutopia strongly condemns this decision of unnecessary provocation against the Republic of Areulia as the hostilities come as a surprise to the republic, although relations were already pretty chilly considering the republic's stance on left-winged nations. The republic recognizes that under article 58 of the LOSC, that military activity taking place in Exclusive Economic Zones are indeed legal and not an act of war, however, Areulia will be keeping a close eye on this expedition due to the proximity to Areulian sovereign waters.

In response to the upcoming naval exercise by the People's Republic of Tania, Areulia has initiated a deployment of an observational fleet, intending to look over the Tanian naval exercise in case it's act of hostility escalates. Carrier strike group "Golden Fist" has been deployed to the Coral Sea to fulfill this role. Areulian F/E-18s will be used to monitor the upcoming Tanian fleet, expected to keep a distance of 4 kilometers from the fleet to avoid provocation.

The Naval Guard has been put to near-conflict readiness along side the Aerial Guard, with the Ground Forces still at enhanced awareness level as no threat of an amphibious invasion is present. Round the clock patrols on the country's airspace have been ordered by the DoMA to further increase Areulia's response capabilities in case of a surprise attack by the People's Republic of Tania.
