It is not official yet so there is no cause for major alarm, but a message has spread from the neighbouring office in Tarbert, that a band of around a few hundred men in uniform have taken hold of the area known as the north harries mountain eagle observatory . It is not know yet, where these men take command from but it is clear that they do not answer to the crown. Tourists and mountaineers who were walking through the mountain range have sighted them... it has been reported. The men were said to be dressed in khaki with helmets. The sight of them has alarmed some of the tourists. Although they are not acting in a hostile manner towards the public ... the tarbet office has closed the reserve until further measure and word. So therefore anyone planning to go to the North Harris eagle Observatory should plan their trip until the site is opened again. North Harris mountain office offers a apology to anyone whose trip was spoilt and to all those members of the public who were told to vacate the area.
This may sound alarming but there is no news to suggest these men are working for hostile measures.
The Status given by the royal guard in Stornoway was as follows "the public should have no cause for alarm at the given moment. It is advised that members of the public cancel any plans to go to the North Harris Eagle Observatory until the brief commotion has passed"
