Militair Belang Nederland Wins Elections:

Amsterdam | 30-07-2093.

The votes have been counted and Militair Belang Nederland came out of it as the biggest party. This means General Gert Stegehuis is now President of the Second Republic of the Netherlands. Liberalen voor Vrede came out as the second biggest party. The Military party has already announced it will not form a coalition with the Liberals, instead forming one with the NFB and the Huis van Oranje-Nassau. The President is to be inaugurated very soon. Sitting President Kuyper expressed his sorrow about losing the election, having served the Dutch Republic since it's foundation. He has congratulated new President Stegehuis and has acknowledged his defeat and promised to ensure the power handover will be smooth and quick.

President Stegehuis Inaugurated:

Amsterdam | 03-08-2093.

President Stegehuis has been inaugurated today, officially beginning his reign over the Dutch Republic. On the balcony of Paleis Zeezicht, he pledged the Presidential oath. Gert Stegehuis put his hand on a book of law and spoke: "Bound by the constitution, drafted to preserve democracy in our Republic, I pledge to protect the territory within our nation with all of my might, just as I protect the rights and prosperity of the Dutch and everyone else that calls our Republic their home, or I will not be called President." When this was finished, the crowd began loudly applauding. 

It was then that President Stegehuis shushed them all to silence. He was going to reveal his cabinet. As he began listing names, the crowd got more enthusiastic. They realized that this cabinet would finally bring some military strength to the nation.

Mobilization Announced:

The Dutch Republic | 04-08-2093.

President Stegehuis' first official act was to announce a full scale mobilization and conscripting a further 800.000 people into the military. These people have officially started basic training, which will soon means the military has 2 million active soldiers. When he was questioned on why he decided to mobilize, he claimed foreigners have been going around threatening the nation. He has began shipping 500.000 soldiers down to the Dutch Holdings in South America. This adds the total number of soldiers down there up to 650.000 soldiers. He also ordered a part of the navy there and began shipping tons of other equipment like vehicles and planes there.

He then announced that the nuclear missile bases were also to be brought up to full launch preparedness, the anti radar jamming systems and the radar jammers themselves were to be brought up to full action readiness. Several missiles with the more agressive form of polio in their warheads are also being prepared for launch.
