Following the election rerun's result the gridlock was not solved. Furthermore, electoral losses paired with the fact all parties received more than 5% essentially killed the S&D's proposal of rising the electoral threshold to 5%.

This meant that whichever proposal the Status Quo Coalition chose would be the winner.

On the right, the Reformists re-proposed the proposal to make all ministries elected directly by the citizens, without offering any compromise.

On the left, the Radicals proposed again their D'Hont method, and stated they would be open to negotiations.

In the end, the SQC chose the D'Hont method, with a few amendments.

The new Anti Gridlock Reform states that should an election end with no majority and without the requirements to form a minority government the government positions shall be assigned based on the d'Hont method, assignin one position to the biggest party, which is then halved and the second position given to the new biggest party, which is again halved and so on for a total of 7 positions.

The amendment was approved in both chambers and via a referendum which passed with a sufficient majority. Furthermore the judiciary has approved the request to apply it to the current results, forming the goverment without needing a new election rerun.

As such, the parties which received at least one government position are the following:

  • S&D: 3
  • PSU: 2
  • IR: 1
  • FLU: 1

After coming together the new governing coalition has decided to distribute the government positions, here they are:

  • Ministerum Iustitia et Interioris: L. Borgus (S&D)
  • Ministerum Ambientalis: T. Cornelius (PSU)
  • Ministerum Oeconomia et Prosperitas: C. Sandrus (S&D)
  • Ministerum Salutis: A. Caravat (PSU)
  • Ministerum Educatione: S. Gionni (FLU)
  • Ministerum Transportatio: F. Vincii (S&D)
  • Ministerum Externis Rebus: M. Calan (IR)
