Labour has made enormous gains in this year's local elections, despite being 2 years into government.

The Social Party collapsed in areas of Dyfed after publicly opposing Gwlad Emrys' involvement in the ongoing global.

The President has made the following statement:

"The votes have put their faith in a labour government yet again and we will continue to work to improve the lives of people. We will rebuild and improve infrastructure, while lowering inflation.

The social Party has proved in this election they are incapable of governing and should not be let anywhere near government".

Only a quarter of local authorities were up for election, and the following vote share was recorded:

PartyVote ShareChange
Labour43.6%+12.3%
Social Party21.2%-16.3%
Conservatives24.6%+3.4%
ARP Lite7.2%+1.2%
Other3.4%-0.6%

Turnout was recorded to be 43.6%, which is down almost 30%. However given the war currently raging this is understandable.

There are today calls for Elowen Richards to resign as Social Party Leader after a failed Presidential Campaign and now a failed Local Elections Campaign.

However speaking to reporters she said she had "no intention of resigning":

"I of course accept that this result is disappointing but we cannot base the support for a party leader on 1/4 of local election seats, especially during a wartime election without a campaign.

Of course if the party decides to remove me as leader I will accept that judgement, but its not something that should be playing out in the public domain and I have no intention of resigning or making it a public issue".
