Last night, the Sütheim Scythes brought home a decisive victory against the Stelvgrad Stags in the national hockey playoffs. The game went on for 2 hours 43 minutes, and was very close, ultimately ending at a score of 7-6, with the winning goal being scored within the last 8 seconds, almost risking an overtime. The winning point was scored by crowd favourite, Lars Lindgren.

In other news, a regional market in the north east surprised shoppers today with an announcement that due to improvements financially, many priced goods would be seeing dramatic drops in prices, most notably coffee with 13%, eggs at 23%, and beef at 32%. This was met with a large influx of shoppers to the store. The regional market announced that at current projections, these price cuts would be here to stay.

Finally, an interesting lawsuit was filed today by a man of the name Charles Young. Young, an American citizen who is here on a work visa, is suing the National Health Commission for not paying for a UV filter removal surgery, which is listed as an elective, cosmetic surgery, which are, save for certain exceptions, not covered under the national universal healthcare system. Young claims that the surgery was a medical necessity, and that he needed to see UV light to live a medically normal life. A judge will review the case sometime this afternoon, where by all accounts will most likely be deemed frivolous, that young would receive a citation of warning for.
