Chairman announces arms race!

This morning Chairman Wurliam announced that the nation will be having an arms race against the nation of Banana Union. Reasons for this are listed by the chairman below:
 

-Banana Union's citizens are severely mistreated but still have faith in their government. Winning an arms race without hurting their citizens can make their people reconsider their faith in the corrupt government. 

-The nation's development speed is shockingly high. If we prove to them that their development speed can be outmatched, we can also prove that Furball Union isn't some country to be scoffed at. 

-There will be a 30% increase in factory worker recruitment

-It will boost the economy and military strength. 

Many citizens that aired in the announcement are very worried about what this will cause, according to our interviews. "Their applied alliance, Terminus Est, may suppress our innocent nation" one politician replied.
