We have new information on the current events occurring at the site of the failed rebellion at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle... It is now well known across the nation that the Scottish Gentry's attempt to overthrow the monarch and prevent the progress into Anarchy has now failed. It was a quick and easy victory For The Earl of York and his men. The Nobles have been disgraced and now they are being held outside Amhuinnsuidhe Castle... apparently "on the front grounds by His lordships cavalry" . Just half an hour ago we had word sent that a speech was made by The Earl from the castle. It is said that after he had successfully thwarted the rebellion he swiftly made his way to to The Queens chamber in order to attend to her... shortly after a few hours he emerged from the window of her chamber and spoke a most "ruthless" and "impassioned" speech to the fallen mutineers and to the nation as a whole. His words as you will read below are most powerful and certainly show that he is a mighty force on this island.

SPEECH GIVEN BY THE EARL OF YORK

"What have we here? what do you see? I am asking you... you men.....who stand in the pouring rain in your own squalor.  Do you not see the clouds? Do they not look so darkened with hate and anger? They are but  a pitiful reflection of your own wretched souls. May I ask what you thought of accomplishing? May I? For I cannot see what would come of this? Did you intend to throw her out onto the mud? DId you intend to take her and lock her away in your jails?...….oh I see.... I see that some of you weasels shake your heads...some don't.....Now more do. You are all a bunch  of rats that need to be thrown away.... The nation is watching your fall from pride …. and they laugh.

Anarchy is what you hate is it not? Anarchy is a disaster in the best of circumstances. Yet what you rebellious men have done today is a mark that goes further than that. … I honestly do not understand how humanity thinks.... When you oppose something... why do act physically against it? Your rebellion has failed today because you are fools... There are better ways to command a nation and to make your people cower in your presence.....I will demonstrate this to you now.  Your Queen will do as I command.. I will tell  her what I wish for her to do and she will obey me.... Your Nation will no longer be an anarchy after today.... this I can grant you. But as for you mongrels.... Listen carefully to what I am about to declare.... Any one who attempts to strike fear into the Queens heart again shall face my wrath.... Do not dare to disobey my command.

My men will now take you to Tarbert Harbour .. where you will board my boat and be shipped to the mainland... from there you will be taken to Fort William Jail ... where you shall remain for a fortnight.. after that you will taken to your trial for high treason in Edinburgh where your will be charged for you crimes and imprisoned for them. Go now .... and during your travels reflect on your stupidity.

And now I address the Public of these Islands....

Your queen has made the decision in a state of passion... that is her disposition. Her libertarian beliefs and far right economic policies are not my fields to dictate... But for the sake of my future position as King of these lands and for the sake of reputation I will not allow Your Queen to reign in her untidy manner.... I will not allow for a state of Anarchy to remain any longer than today. Mark my words.... after today The nation of The Isle of Lewis and Harris will once again be a Absolute Monarchy.... All notions of Anarchy will be in the past.

I am no tyrant.....nor am I like those rebel nobles.... a slave to the system .. I am but a realist.... meaning I am a man who accepts a situation as it is and deals with it accordingly.... Your Queen on the other hand prefers to entertain her notions of fairy tales and romantic childish fantasy.... I have no time for her world of make believe. She is not mature and therefore it is likely that she will have to learn the difficult way.... life itself will teach her. But for today I will have to steer this rocky ship.

I address you as a nation and as your future king.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said that after this imposing speech he returned to the Queens chamber and it is there he still remains. No other word has come of the contents of his apparent discussion with her but by his words it seems likely that our short stay at the land of Anarchy is coming to its end.

That is a relief, even if the Queen's conduct was rather questionable.
