Project Freelancer is a top-secret program initiated by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) in the "Red vs. Blue" series. The project's primary objective is to create and enhance elite soldiers, known as Freelancers, through advanced technology and rigorous training. These soldiers are designed to combat the alien threat known as the Covenant and handle other high-risk missions.

The overarching goal of Project Freelancer is to test and develop cutting-edge AI and combat technologies that can be used to gain a strategic advantage in warfare. The project focuses on augmenting human capabilities through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and specialized armor enhancements.
