Account Verification

Account Verification is a process by which you can have your nation reviewed and approved as an independent account. It is only necessary for players using a shared network (such as university, work, or home) where more than one person is playing Politics & War from the same network. Account Verification will allow you to interact with each other unrestricted. This process is necessary to allow players to play in such situations while also minimizing cheating by creating multiple accounts. Each person is still only allowed one nation. Verification is only available for players 13 years or older.

How do I become Verified?

For your account to be verified, you must send an e-mail (from the e-mail address associated with your Politics & War account) to [email protected] with the following information:

Your Nation Name

Your Leader Name

Your Nation ID (the number at the end of your nation link)

A picture of yourself holding a sheet of paper with the following handwritten information:
"[Today's Date]
This is [Your First Name] the owner of the nation [Your Nation Name] led by [Your Leader Name]. I am 13 years or older and this is my only Politics and War account. I understand that having multiple accounts is cheating but I am playing from a shared network at [Your Location: Home, University, Work, etc.] and wish to be verified as an independent player.
[Your Signature]"

Once you have completed this and sent the e-mail it will be manually reviewed, and if approved, your nation will be verified for the next 30 days. After 30 days if you are still playing and wish to extend your account verification, you will need to send in a new e-mail application which if approved will extend your verification for 6 months. Subsequent verifications will extend your verification time by 1 year. Renewals are necessary to ensure ownership of accounts is not transferred between verifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs to be verified?

No one needs to be verified. You can continue to play as normal with restrictions on your account. For players that do not share a network connection with any other players, there is no reason to be verified at all.

Why do I have to renew verification?

Verification must be renewed from time to time to ensure that players' information stays consistent over time in order to prove that they are who they say they are, and that cheating is prevented.

How can I recognize a verified player?

Verified nations will have a checkmark next to their "Founded" row on their nation page.
