Just hours ago, the ambitious project to add another industry to Primar- namely, a gambling industry- has completed its construction. The centerpiece of the operation is the lofty Spades Casino, coming with 9 floors of gambling. There are also several smaller satellite buildings around the different cities of Primar (check out The Jackrabbit in Reven for some excellent craps), Vercity's Spades Casino is where most of the development happened.
The hopes for this project would be to diversify the economy for the future. After the recent Global War which has just come to a close, tensions are still high. Since I decided to put the interests of our current alliance, The Knights Radiant, first, I chose to elect Primar for complete 100% taxes. While we are still getting by fine, the stagnation is felt slightly. Therefore, I wanted to create a separate place for revenue, and this one had the extra benefit of bringing tourists to Primar, and they are the ones who spend the most money. The Inspector General, Master Builder, and Grand Supervisor have been working tirelessly to ensure the seamless incorporation of the projects into the many cities and have also been looking for other avenues where we can further improve this great nation. Of course, once the projects are fully implemented then I will be sharing control of them with High Watcher Thompson, with him mostly ensuring we still keep everything mostly ethical while I will still get to run the finances of it.
In summary, this is a great step forward for Primar. However, don't think that just because we finished this one thing doesn't mean that we aren't always pushing forward to create more to increase our power on the global stage. Work has already begun on a new revenue source which can also double as a training and staging ground for our mercenaries to gather in. I, the High Watcher, or the Liaison of the High Council will make a public statement on this, Operation Literature, when the time is right. Until then, I and the rest of the High Council will be fervently at work to create the best future possible for the great United Republic of Primar.
