The Great Trial

Following a pair of devastating wars that left the cities of Glatixburg and Shisahof in ruin, Glatixian discourse has aligned under a singular sentiment, glorious vengeance. The impetus for the initial attacks is largely believed to be a relaxing of jingoistic policy.

Following the conflicts, the Chancellor gave a characteristically eloquent speech to the nation:

"The bastards caught us with our pants down, and while we managed to counter-!@#$ one of them, the other went to town. Look, I don't mind losing a fifth of our population in a war. The secret police kill twice that many every other month. However, two of our cities were nuked, and that's just not acceptable. Do you have any idea how long it takes to scrub radiation from my rug? It's an antique and now it'll give me cancer if I stand on it. Disgraceful."

The Glatixian state has announced a swift return to the 'Doctrine of Unfathomable Violence' that previously guided the nation's foreign policy decisions. With the announcement, the Glatixian economy has been retooled to shift focus from the export of lead to the "export of lead". Despite the growing size the military, a single sentiment seems to remain within the minds of every Glatixian... revenge.

Hundreds of thousands of Glatixian troops have been deployed in a massive invasion of the nation responsible for the nuclear strike, and Glatixland is presently engaged in a war of revanchism against Shadow of a Doubt.
