North Pacifica Mandates Military Draft

NORTH PACIFICA ---- Earlier today in a surprise move, President Vas announced from Masonic Square with his Imperial Officers that he would be mandating two years of military service for all residents of the country. Pacificans must register for the draft upon their 17th birthday in a Military Department of their choice. The move which is widely regarded as “unnecessary” and “distasteful" by residents was well received by members within the Alliance of The Fighting Pacifists. 

President Vas when questioned about the move said that “with current situations regarding Orbis, the safety of all citizens is paramount. We must do our part to militarize and have sustainable numbers to be able to respond in case of an emergency. Our military is always willing to extend assistance to allies who may need support, as such is any entity within Orbis.” 

Military movement all around Orbis continues to grow with missiles being built and uranium on the move. In the Orbis market, resource prices have been beginning to climb once again with steel being scarce with more countries utilizing resources in their own web of affiliation.

Situations will continue to be monitored around North Pacifica but the Imperial Guard, Coast Guard, and other branches have began calling in soldiers for support.
