Prime Minister: "I would like to make a short statement regarding the continuing efforts of our foreign office in ensuring that the Treaty of London between Sawh and the Reunited States is respected.

I would like to firstly address the withdrawal of foreign military forces. The Reunited States have assured us that all military will be removed from Gwlad Emrys in the next 6-8 months. I have also discussed with Sawh, and while he has not given exact timescales, the withdrawal has started. While this does seem like a long time, it is a necessary time period to ensure that a sudden departure doesn't destabilise our nation. Also these forces carry large amounts of equipment and is therefore vital for these to be safely removed.

In terms of rebuild aid promised by both nations, I have today made an official request for such aid from the Reunited States and Sawh and will be awaiting a reply for both parties over the next few days. I can assure the house that both parties will provide this aid as soon as our blockade by another nation is lifted and we can go back to normality. We have a lot of rebuilding to do, and I therefore urge both parties to take the Treaty of London seriously.

I have been having frequent meetings with parliamentary colleagues regarding this matter and will continue to have them in the coming days."

Leader of the Opposition (Conservative Leader): "Thank you to the Prime Minister for advance copy of his, frankly quite disappointing, statement. We were told on Friday that the Prime Minister would come to Parliament to give further details on how and when the rebuild money will be paid. He has not done so. To come here and say that he submitted a formal request today, not  over the weekend, today - it's frankly an insult to all of our time coming here. He's come here, whipped up a short statement that says nothing new. How are we supposed to believe that this money will ever arrive here?

The Reunited States President told us on Friday that he is awaiting a request by Gwlad Emrys for this money. Why couldn't the Prime Minister submit a request immediately. We all saw the statement he and the President gave on Friday, looking down to business and ready to get on with the job. This, I have to say, is a clear sign that it was all an act and he should be ashamed of himself.
