The Emperor appeared in public for the first time since falling ill earlier this week - the intense illness, which has ravished the nation is akin in veracity to the ancient Justinian Plague which killed many of the old empire and also risked the life of the Great Justinian himself.

As the worst of history repeats, so too does the best of fortunes as it appears our emperor is on the way to recovery (although that journey is far from over).

Much as Justinian before him - our pious Emperor sees his misfortune as punishment from a higher power. In this case, Saturn - who was promised a city in his honour in time for Saturnalia. As the Global War delayed the cities construction, the Emperor decided to dedicate the city to Ulpia (due to the lack of female commemorated cities and because Saturnalia had passed). It appears the god Saturn, protector of Aureliana - who in his time of worship protected us from serious harm in global conflict - felt betrayed by this decision and has punished us with disease. The Emperor and the highest priests have promised to built the next city in his honour - Saturnia.

Once we promised Saturn this, we saw eventual improvement in our Emperor's health - it was an error that was not meant to offend this great God - but it is apparent a mere holiday is not enough veneration for the divine protector - a city in his honour is our nations top priority to match the one named for Jupiter.
