Today, yet another change to Gwlad Emrys' economy has been announced by the government. The Industrial Strategy Minister told the Gwlad Emrys Post this morning that the nation will “move away from Munitions Manufacturing and start a new era in this nation's manufacturing legacy”

It is widely anticipated that the government will choose to embrace Aluminium as its main manufacturing resource, ending a period of growth in the Manufacturing Industry.

The Chief Executive of the Munitions Plant in Dinas Emrys told the Gwlad Emrys Post,

“While it is regrettable that this announcment has happened, it is true that our Munitions Industry has been gaining less and less profit over the past few months. I do welcome the change to Aluminium as it will provide an excellent opportunity to boost our degrading economy”

However, opposition parties have spoken out about the method of producing Aluminium, pointing out that Gwlad Emrys does not have the means to mine Bauxite. The Conservative Leader told the Gwlad Emrys Post:

“This move will ensure that we are at the mercy of our trading partners and will ensure that our economy will be shut down in times of war. This is a truly dangerous move by the government that could result in hundreds of job losses"

The government has declined to comment further.

Analysis

This is yet another change by the Liberal government days after being elected. Many wonder whether decisions made by the Labour government was that bad, or if the Liberals are trying to spin the news headlines. However, this is another change that will have large consequences for the people working in these jobs. The pound has remained more or less stable following this announcment, suggesting that the population are unsure whether this move will benefit or weaken the economy.
