The cross that travels around Meg (Easter Special)

Megisians, an ethnicity full of Christian Characteristics, owning their Theocratic State - not in the papers but in the reality.

Easter is the biggest Celebration of Megisians and it is a highly important one and the event were the most customs are made from.

The Great Week

The Great Week is always a very depressing one where they don't listen to music, eat meet, do very enjoyable activities and many more. 

On Great Thursday people paint Red eggs which symbolises the blood that fell from Jesus Christ once he was crucified. 

On Great Friday the epitaph of their dead God takes place in every main church, where people gather around to walk around the neighborhood with the epitaph. 

On Great Saturday the holy light is gotten from the Holy Tomb in Jerusalem at 12:00 were Jesus came back from the dead. People gather around churches at around 23:30 and wait until the day changes 

On Sunday of Easter the Priest says ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ ΑΝΕΣΤΗ ΕΚ ΝΕΚΡΩΝ (Xristos Anesti Ek Nekron) CHRIST HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD. and everyone kisses and hugs their family. 

But let's look at a more detailed description 

THE EPITAPH

People on Great Friday gather with their loved ones and get around the church with the epitaph and the cross. It symbolises the dead Jesus. People sometimes have a candle with them sometimes not. When the epitaph goes around the neighborhood and returns to the church the Priest gets out and says: Ο ΙΗΣΟΥΣ - Ο ΠΑΤΕΡΑΣ ΠΑΝΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΑΣ - ΕΦΥΓΕ. ΤΑ ΚΑΤΑΦΕΡΑΤΕ ΤΟΝ ΣΚΟΤΟΣΑΤΕ ! JESUS - THE FATHER ALMIGHTY - IS GONE. YOU DID IT, YOU KILLED HIM! Then a prayer starts. Fireworks and similar objects are thrown in the ground making loud noises and making the ground move.

GETTING THE HOLY LIGHT

On Great Saturday the Megisian Orthodox Patriarch goes to the Holy Tomb in Jerusalem with tens of thousands of people watching either by TV or live in the Holy Tomb. The Patriarch says a prayer inside and then fire appears in the candles. Then he gets out and gives it to everyone in there. After that it is given to a private airplane of the Megisian Air Force used by the government and with 4 military aircrafts the light is gotten to Vysantinoupol (Istanbul) where then 40 airplanes by Megisian Commercial airlines get the light to the places were priests there get the light and get it to their church to give it to the Followers.

HE IS RISEN

People gather out of the church with their family and wait until it gets to 12:00. Until then everyone gets the holy light which is given by the church to the people. Ones it gets to 12:00 people hug and kiss and say ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ ΑΝΈΣΤΗ (HE IS RISEN) and you must reply with ΑΛΗΘΩΣ (TRULY), ΑΛΗΘΩΣ ΑΝΕΣΤΗ (TRULY RISEN) or ΑΛΗΘΩΣ Ο ΚΥΡΙΩΣ (TRULY THE LORD). Then there is massive celebration with fireworks, bells ringing very fast and extreme molotovs.
