OFFICIAL GUIDE TO FIREARMS REGULATIONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF GREENLAND

PRESENTED BY THE FEDERAL FIREARMS AGENCY (FFA)

INTRODUCTION

The Republic Of Greenland is currently one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of firearms and military equipment in the world, and has a massive gun culture. Over 74% of households own at least one firearm, and approximately 38% own an automatic weapon. Reasons for ownership vary from self-defense and hunting to protection against tyranny or having a collection. As of September 9, 2099, the Republic Of Greenland legalized low-caliber artillery pieces with limited ammunition for use by civilians, so long as they could obtain a special permit for it. Less than 0.003% of gun owners have either a permit or a cannon. Firearms regulations within the ROG are extremely lax.

PURCHASING PROCESS

In order to purchase a firearm within the Republic of Greenland, one must currently hold a gun license, have a valid ID, and pass random mental health screenings. There are multiple tiers of gun licenses as well. On top of this, acquiring a license requires 2 months of training on rifles, pistols, shotguns and long rifles. Mental health checks occur at random, and anyone under 18 may not own a firearm (punishable by up to 5 years in prison.) Anyone who fails a mental health checkup will have their firearms and ammunition confiscated until they can pass one.
